
Women's Tennis Takes Down Boston College, 4-0

WEYMOUTH, Mass. -- In its second match of opening weekend for Atlantic Coast Conference play, the No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels (9-3) defeated the Boston College Eagles (3-7), 4-0 in Weymouth.
The match began with the Tar Heels continuing to show their doubles dominance against the Eagles.
On court one, the 15th-ranked tandem of Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton quickly gave North Carolina the doubles point advantage with a 6-2 victory. Then, on court three, Lindsay Zink partnered with Tatum Evans to clinch the doubles point for UNC with a 6-3 win.
In singles play, the Tar Heels continued the momentum they gathered during doubles action.
On court one, Reese Brantmeier picked up the first of three straight-set victories for North Carolina after she won, 6-0, 6-2. Then, on court five, Tatum Evans added to the UNC lead with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Finally, on court Alana Boyce clinched the match for Carolina with a decisive 6-0, 6-4 victory.
