March 18, 2025 | Women's Lacrosse
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – After a record setting performance last weekend, North Carolina women's lacrosse standout Ashley Humphrey has been named the IWLCA Co-Offensive National Player of the Week, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
A graduate attacker, Humphrey had a game-high eight points – all off assists – during No. 2 North Carolina's dominant 18-5 win over No. 9 Clemson on March 15 in Chapel Hill. Her eight assists tied the UNC single-game program record first done by Ela Hazar on March 17, 2018.
Humphrey's eight assists were the most she has had in a Tar Heel uniform and one off her career high while at Stanford. She now ranks ninth in school history for career assists with 71, a feat she has achieved in just 24 games.
The Darien, Connecticut native is the active Division I leader in career assists (201), assists per game (3.3) and points per game (4.97). She currently ranks first in the Atlantic Coast Conference in both assists per game (4.12) and assists (33) which sit at second and third, respectively, in the nation.
Humphrey also earned ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Feb. 18 and was added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List earlier this month.
