March 20, 2025 | Men's Tennis
The North Carolina men's tennis team returns home for the first time in three weeks and will play a pair of matches at the Chewning Tennis Center this weekend.
The Tar Heels, opening a four-match homestand, will host Boston College on Friday at 3 p.m. and SMU on Sunday at noon. Both matches will be part of doubleheaders with the UNC women's team, which is scheduled to meet Wake Forest on Friday at 5 p.m. and NC State on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Carolina men will play five of their final seven regular season matches at home in Chapel Hill.
Free pizza will be available for fans while supplies last, to be distributed between doubles and singles play on both Friday and Sunday.
UNC (9-6 overall, 3-3 ACC) played its last four matches on the road in Atlantic Coast Conference action, winning at Louisville and Notre Dame two weeks ago but dropping road decisions last weekend at Clemson and Georgia Tech.
After this weekend's matches, Carolina will be at home again next week, hosting Miami on Friday and Florida State on Sunday. After a road trip to visit new conference members Stanford and Cal on April 4 and 6, the Tar Heels will conclude their regular season at home against Duke on April 12. The 2025 ACC Championships are slated for April 15-20 in Cary, N.C., at the Cary Tennis Park.
