Top-ranked Stanford leads after day one at 15-under 561. The Cardinal shot 6 under in the morning and 9 under in the afternoon. Yeung is tied for 13th at 2-over 146. She opened with a 79, then cut 12 strokes off that score with a 67 in the second round, just a single stroke off the low rounds of the day. Florida State's Mirabel Tingue, the No. 1-ranked collegiate player in the country, shot 66 in the first round, and Lottie Woad, the No. 1-ranked amateur in the world, shot 66 in round two. Yeung made 11 birdies over the first two rounds, which is tied for the tournament lead with Ting and Woad.

Freshman Katie Vu provided the Tar Heels with their third sub-par round of the day as she shot 1-under-par 71 in the second round.
