Swimming & Diving Places 34 On All-ACC Academic Team

Chapel Hill, N.C. – The University of North Carolina swimming and diving team placed 34 Tar Heels on the All-ACC Academic team, the league announced on Wednesday. The women's team had 21 honorees, while the men's team produced 13.
To be considered for the All-ACC Academic Team, athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 as well as a minimum 3.0 GPA in the most recent semester or quarter. Athletes also must have appeared in at least 50 percent of their teams' events in the 2024-25 season.
In addition to this honor, both Georgia Nel and Ryan Silver were recognized on Tuesday at the annual Academic Awards Luncheon for being a Top 10 Scholar-Athlete. The Top 10 goes to five male and five female graduating senior student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade point averages.
