Strand Named ACC Track Performer Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Ethan Strand earned his third conference track and field accolade of the season when the Atlantic Coast Conference named him Men's Track Performer of the Week on Tuesday, May. 6.
Ethan Strand (3:33.22) continued his historic season by running the second-fastest 1500m time in NCAA history on Saturday, May 4, at Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium during the final regular-season meet, the Duke Twilight. In just his second race of the outdoor season, Strand battled with the indoor national champion in the mile, Abel Teffra from Georgetown, and prevailed, earning national recognition.Â
