Ashley Humphrey Tabbed CSC Second-Team Academic All-America

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina standout Ashley Humphrey has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Women's At-Large Second Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. Humphrey, a first-team All-American and the NCAA's career record holder for assists, earned her bachelor's degree in English from Stanford with a 3.93 before transferring to UNC and securing a master's degree in Applied Professional Studies.
Humphrey was tabbed CSC Academic All-District earlier this year and was a member of the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team. The 2025 conference academic awards have not been announced yet.
A Darien, Conn. native, Humphrey was the top playmaker in the country last season and a Tewaaraton Award finalist. A four-time All-American, she set the NCAA record for career assists with 258 and holds the NCAA's top two marks in single-season assists with 90 last season and 88 in 2022. Humphrey set UNC school records for single-season points (121) and single-season assists (90). A first-team All-American, first-team All-ACC and NCAA and ACC All-Tournament team member, she finished 2025 with 90 assists and 31 goals for her 121 points.
