Women’s Soccer Powers Past Alabama, 4-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's soccer (5-2, 0-0 ACC) remains unbeaten at home this season after claiming a 4-0 win over Alabama (5-1, 0-0 SEC) Thursday night.
The Tar Heels showcased their offensive power while holding the Crimson Tide scoreless to secure their fourth shutout of the season. Olivia Thomas got the scoring started with a goal in the 21st minute. Carolina headed into the break ahead by one.
Just two minutes into the second half UNC added another goal. Assisted by Linda Ullmark, Kate Faasse found the back of the net in the left corner for her first goal of the night.
Faasse and the Tar Heel offense continued to push the pace. The forward added her second goal of the night extending the lead to three for UNC.
Bella Devey got in on the action with a goal of her own at the 84-minute mark. The freshman took the ball midway up the field before dribbling through several Alabama defenders eventually netting her third goal of the season.
