Dellarose Signs With Chicago Stars FC

Chicago, Ill. – Tessa Dellarose from the University of North Carolina women's soccer program is the latest Tar Heel to join the pro ranks. The midfielder signed with Chicago Stars FC, member of the National Women's Soccer League, Saturday afternoon.
Dellarose heads to Chicago after competing as a standout midfielder/defender for Carolina. Most notably, Dellarose helped lead the Tar Heels to their 23rd National Championship in 2024 during her junior season. After playing a key role in Carolina's championship run, Dellarose earned All-America honors for the first time in her career. The midfielder was also tabbed Second Team All-Atlantic Region, Third Team All-ACC, Second Team TopDrawerSoccer Best XI, CSC Academic All-District, and UNC Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete award recipient.
Across her career, Dellarose compiled six goals, 12 assists, and 24 points. The Grindstone, Pa. native was a consistent member of the lineup from day one of freshman year. Dellarose totaled 5,482 minutes on the pitch for the Tar Heels. In her time at UNC, the midfielder served as co-captain for two seasons and was a three-time All-ACC, two-time Academic All-ACC, and All-America honoree.
The Chicago Stars finished the 2025 season with a 3-11-12 record finishing 14th in the NWSL standings.
