7 Heels Included In Field Hockey All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Seven members of the Carolina field hockey program have earned All-ACC Academic honors, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tar Heel award winners include Sietske Brüning, Molly Catchpole, Coco Courtright, Sanne Hak, Hope Haynes, Dani Mendez, and Grace Pottebaum. The whole group played vital roles in the 2025 squad that won UNC it's ninth straight ACC title.

It is a remarkable fourth career award for Brüning, just the seventh player in program history to do so. Hak and Pottebaum represent the three time winners, while Catchpole picks up her second straight honor.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0-grade point average for the previous two semesters and 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
