Heels Scrimmage For Seven Innings On Thursday

Chapel Hill, NC-Â The North Carolina Tar Heels held a seven-inning scrimmage under gray skies on Thursday afternoon at a very chilly Boshamer Stadium.
Offensive Highlights:Â Erik Paulsen, who belted a 372-foot home run to right center, was 2-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Tyler Howe was the only other player with multiple base hits as he was 2-4 with one RBI. Lee Sowers drove in two runs with a pair of sacrifice flies. Sawyer Black's double was the only other extra-base hit,
Pitching Highlights:Â The following six pitchers threw: Matthew Matthijs, Kyle Percival, Cam Padgett, Amos Rich, Talan Holiday and Camron Seagraves. Rich tossed 2.0 scoreless, hitless innings, striking out two and walking none. Holiday retired all five batters he face in his 1.2 innings with one strike out. Matthijs gave up one run in his 2.0 innings.
The Tar Heels will wrap up their second week of scrimmages on Friday afternoon.
