Notine Highlights 2025 NFHCA Academic Awards For UNCFH

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Sylvine Notine and six of her North Carolina field hockey teammates were honored with inclusion in the 2025 NFHCA National Academic Squad. Notine's excellent work in the classroom earned her additional recognition as an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.Â
Seven Tar Heels were among the award winners for the 2025 edition of the NFHCA National Academic Squad, highlighted by Sietske Brüning, Caroline Golden, Hope Haynes, Reid Miller, Sylvie Notine, Grace Pottebaum, and Merritt Skubisz. It is the program's fourth year in a row placing seven on the prestigious list.
Notine, a true freshman midfielder, earned her mark as a Scholar of Distinction for maintaining a 3.90 GPA or higher through the fall semester. She is the ninth different Tar Heel to receive the award since its inception in 2012, bringing home the 12th separate award.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.Â
