Devey & Malsom Called Up For U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team Matches
February 16, 2026 | Women's Soccer
ATLANTA, Ga. – The U.S. U-19 Women's National Team announced the 20-player roster for an upcoming series of international friendlies Monday afternoon. The roster features two Tar Heels, Bella Devey and Lauren Malsom. The team is set to play against Czechia, Wales, and Portugal from Feb. 21-March 7 just outside of Porto, Portugal.
Devey had recent experience with the national team at a development camp Jan. 17-25 in Los Angeles, Calif. Prior to the development camp, Devey had wrapped up her freshman season at Carolina where she recorded five goals, four assists, and 14 points. The Draper, Utah native was one of just four Tar Heels to start in all 21 matches. Devey was ranked no. 46 on the TopDrawerSoccer Top 100 Freshman Rankings at the end of the 2025 season. With the national team, the freshman was previously invited to the 2024 U.S. U-19 YNT, 2024 U-17 Concacaf, and 2024 U-17 YNT training camps.
Malsom is a familiar face among the women's national teams. Last fall, Malsom competed with the U.S. U-17 team in a pair of international friendlies and later in the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. The Marietta, Ga. native also wrapped up her freshman season at Carolina this fall. Despite missing seven matches due to national team call-ups, Malsom appeared in 14 matches with seven starts recording four goals and one brace.
