BLACKSBURG, Va. - The North Carolina wrestling program travels to Virginia Tech this Sunday, competing in the 2026 ACC Wrestling Championship.Â

ACC Seeding
• Luke Simcox, seeded second at 141-pounds, earned the highest seed for the Tar Heels, prior to Sunday's postseason action.Â
• Kysen Terukina (125), Laird Root (157), Bryce Hepner (165) and Jake Dailey (184) earned the No. 4 seed in their respective weight class.
• The duo of Ethan Oakley (133) and Robert Platt (197) earned the No. 5 seeds, followed by Nate Askew (No. 7 - 149), Collin Carrigan (No. 6 - 174) and Jacob Levy (No. 6 - 285) rounding out the Carolina entries.Â
NCAA Allocations At Stake
• The ACC earned a conference all-time high 39 automatic qualifiers for the 2026 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, held in two weeks.Â
• The league was awarded 2026 qualifications in the following weight classes: 125 (5), 133 (3), 141 (5), 149 (4), 157 (4), 165 (4), 174 (3), 184 (4), 197 (3) and 285 (4).
