ACC Championship Central Bracket Watch Live Scoring 2025-26 UNC Stats

North Carolina's men's tennis team will begin play in the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C. Carolina will meet Virginia Tech at 12:30 p.m. in the opening round of the event.

The Tar Heels are ranked No. 46 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.

UNC is 13-10 this season and has won two of its last three matches to close the regular season. The Tar Heels went 6-7 in ACC action, tied with Cal, Duke and Miami for eighth place in the final league standings. Based on tiebreakers, Carolina is the No. 11 seed in this week's tournament in Cary.

At 6-15 overall and 3-10 in ACC action, Virginia Tech is the No. 14 seed this week.

The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to meet No. 6 seed Clemson on Thursday.

The Tar Heels boast a pair of ITA-ranked singles players this week in #79 Roan Jones and #125 Chris Xu. The doubles team of Jones and Anthony Wright is ranked #34.
