Volleyball Adds Steven Zarzycki To Coaching Staff

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Carolina volleyball head coach Mike Schall announced the addition of Steven Zarzycki to the coaching staff.
"We are thrilled to welcome Steven to the Carolina Volleyball Program," Coach Schall said. "Steven is an outstanding teacher with high character, and we are excited to see his impact on our team, staff, and program. His approach to the game and his ability to connect with young people made him an ideal fit for Carolina Volleyball."
Zarzycki comes to Chapel Hill after three seasons at St. Louis. Prior to joining the Billikens, Zarzycki had coaching stints at East Carolina and Syracuse.
At ECU, Zarzycki helped Angeles Alderete to the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honor. Prior to East Carolina, he began a stint at Syracuse as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2021 season and was promoted to assistant coach in February 2022.
Zarzycki attended Kean University and played on the Cougars' nationally-ranked 2021 squad as a starting outside hitter. During the summer of 2018, he competed for the USA Men's DIII Volleyball team in Brazil.
He graduated from Kean in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in human resource management.
