Men's Golf Advances to ACC Match Play As No. 3 Seed

Sihan Sandhu's 2-under-par 70 helped North Carolina secure the No. 3 seed in Sunday's quarterfinal match in the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship at Shark's Tooth Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla.
The Tar Heels shot 2-under 862 for the three rounds of stroke play, tying Georgia Tech for third place heading into match play.
Stanford earned the top seed in the eight-team quarterfinals at 20-under 844. Virginia was second at 4 under par, the Tar Heels and Georgia Tech tied for third at 2 under, Florida State was fifth (-1), Clemson sixth (+1), Louisville seventh (+2) and Duke and Wake Forest tied for the final spot at 3 over par. The Blue Devils won a playoff against the Demon Deacons to advance as the No. 8 seed.
Cal's Ziqin Zhou won the individual title in a playoff with Duke's Ethan Evans and Stanford's Edan Cui. They each shot 8-under 208 to make the playoff, which Zhou won on the second hole.
Sandhu shot a season-high 79 in Thursday's first round but bounced back with consecutive 70s. His 140 total Friday and Saturday equaled the fourth-best total in the field over the final 36 holes.
UNC's Niall Sheils Donegan (71-70-72) tied for 10th place at 3-under 213. It was his fourth-straight top-10 finish and seventh of the season.
Carson Bertagnole (70-73-72) tied for 17th at 1-over 215, Sandhu tied for 30th at 3-over 219, and Grant Roscich (72-73-77) and Keaton Vo (73-72-77) tied for 41st at 6-over 222.
Carolina and Clemson will begin their quarterfinal match at 9:20 a.m. Eastern. The winner plays the winner of the match between No. 2 seed Virginia and No. 7 Louisville. The semifinal matches are scheduled to tee off around 3 p.m. Eastern and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
