DeCaro & Glauber Named All-America By CBF

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - North Carolina pitchers Jason DeCaro and Caden Glauber have been awarded All-America status by the College Baseball Foundation, the organization announced on Thursday.Â
The veteran and the rookie were key contributors for the Tar Heel pitching staff that led the ACC in ERA for the third straight season. The pair were the first UNC teammates to hit double-digit wins in the same season since Trent Thornton and Kent Emanuel did so in 2013.Â
A three-year starter for the Heels, DeCaro concludes his junior season with an 11-3 record, a 2.87 ERA, and 99 strikeouts. Eligible for this year's draft, he will likely finish his Carolina career with the eighth most career wins (26) and just outside the top-10 in strikeouts (247).
Glauber was a revelation for North Carolina in his freshman season, racking up a 12-0 record with a 2.05 ERA and 114 strikeouts. His 12 victories represent the most ever by a Tar Heel rookie and is the third most wins without defeat in program history.Â
