"Didn't get the pitching we needed and we did not have any defense and that's all there was to it. We made some mental mistakes and physical mistakes but give them credit, I thought Eric Henderson (UNC) did a good job for them and I liked his play."

Both pitchers did a good job and I thought our kids showed a lot of maturity and class against a good Rice pitcher (Kenny Baugh) that just kept getting stronger as the innings went on. Clay (Hooper) gave us a big hit and that's what we expect from our leader. You just have to have some big hits against a good team like Rice."
