College GameDay Information For Students 2024
ÂWe look forward to seeing you at College GameDay. Students are encouraged to show their support by attending. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with the show airing live at 11 a.m.
Students that received a Phase 1 ticket have the opportunity to take part in the randomization process in order to determine seating priority for the UNC vs. Duke men’s basketball game.
Please find more information below as it pertains to not only student ticketing.
Â
Phase 1
- Only the line for Phase 1 student entry will be randomized, which means a random number will be drawn to determine the order of the line for Phase 1. We do this because of the overwhelming interest in the game and its proven ability to work and keep students safe.
- Randomization wristbands will be given out between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at Entry C of the Smith Center to those with Phase 1 tickets. Any student who attempts to line up earlier than 7 a.m. will be turned away.
- Students will need both their Phase 1 ticket and OneCard (or online equivalent) for College GameDay to receive a randomization wristband. Screenshots of either will not be accepted.
- Directly after GameDay, the number for Phase 1 randomization will be announced. Students must be present during the selection process in order to be considered during the drawing to decide placement in line.
- Everyone with a Phase 1 ticket and randomization wristband will need to return to Kenan Center Drive by 1 p.m. Students will line up based on the number chosen on the randomization wristband. If a student with a wristband comes after security has checked the line, that student will be placed at the end of the Phase 1 line.
- Phase 1 ticket holders will be able to pick riser or lower level seating. After a decision has been made, a student CANNOT change from risers to lower level or vice versa.
- Students will be provided the designated wristband for risers or lower level upon entry.
You are NOT required to partake in the randomization process. Only students with a Phase 1 ticket can participate in the randomization process.
- You are not required to attend College GameDay.
- Those who do not attend College GameDay with a Phase 1 ticket will be lined up behind those who did attend and are a part of the randomization process.
Phases 2 - 5
- Students with tickets in Phases 2 through 5 are encouraged to attend College GameDay for a chance to win great door prizes, including Nike swag packages, Carolina team-signed basketballs and more.
Â
REMINDER:
- All students are encouraged to attend College GameDay, regardless if they have a ticket to the game. More information can be found here.
- You will only receive one (1) student ticket. Only UNC students with a valid OneCard or CBORD/GET mobile ID may use tickets obtained through the lottery process. Screenshots of either will not be permitted and you will be denied entry into the game and student section.
