Career Best Times: 20.61 in 50-yard freestyle; 45.19 in 100-yard freestyle; 1:38.83 in 200-yard freestyle; 47.90 in 100-yard backstroke; 1:46.89 in 200-yard backstroke.
Prep: Graduated in 2012 from Conestoga High School...has been competing in swimming for 12 years...did his club swimming at the Upper Main Line YMCA...primarily swims sprint and middle distance freestyle and backstroke events...team captain at Conestoga as a senior...set school records in the 100 back three straight years his sophomore through senior campaigns...All-Area First-Team selection his sophomore through senior years...named to All-Main Line First Team each of those three years as well...local daily athlete of the year in the 12th grade...had a career best 56.94 in the 100-meter backstroke as a prepster...his senior year he won YMCA short course national championship in the 100-yard backstroke...saw dramatic improvement in his times between his junior and senior years...went from 1:48.76 to 1:46.89 in 200 back, 46.36 to 45.19 in 100 free and 50.37 to 47.90 in 100 back.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel diver is being part of one of the best programs in the ACC.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm is that he is that he never seems to get angry.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is my turns and underwaters.
4. My best friend on another college diving team is Matt Luminais who swims for Brown University.
5. My greatest strength as a diver is my mental toughness.
Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
1. Away from the pool and academics, I like to spend time fishing.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Safe House.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be soccer!
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is the Dave Matthews Band.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is that I enjoy knitting.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a big meet, I'd like to eat at a buffet spread that included burgers, tons of French fries, and of course ice cream!
2. My favorite beverage is Coke.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is quesadillas by my sister!
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Sutton's.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is German chocolate.
Section #4: Personality
1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I would go to the 1974 World Cup final and watch Germany beat Netherlands.
2. My most prized personal possession is my drum set.
3. If I could go to dinner with a famous person it would be Manuel Neuer.
4. My dream job is playing soccer for FC Bayern Munich. There is nothing better than being a professional athlete.
5. The most interesting person I've met in my time at UNC is my orientation leader.
