As A Redshirt Junior (2022)
Started all 64 games, 54 in left field and 10 in right field • Voted third team All-ACC • Named to the all-tournament team at the ACC Baseball Championship and NCAA Chapel Hill Regional • Produced a slash line of .352/.425/.500 with seven home runs and 40 RBIs • Posted career-highs in batting average, runs (58), hits (100), doubles (19), home runs and RBIs • Led the ACC in total hits and ranked sixth nationally • Became the ninth different player in program history to reach the century mark for hits in a season • Led the Tar Heels and ranked fifth in the ACC in doubles • Led the team with 33 multi-hit games, including three four-hit performances • Collected multiple hits in seven straight games from May 20-29 • Began the season on a 24-game hitting streak and a 27-game on-base streak, reaching base in 51 straight games dating back to the final 24 games of 2021 • Hit safely in 55 games overall • Registered 14 multi-RBI games • Recorded 13 outfield assists • Smacked four leadoff home runs, including opening day • Hit .476 (10-for-21) with a home run, three doubles, four RBIs and eight runs scored in four games at the ACC Baseball Championship • Went 6-for-13 (.461) with five runs scored in the Florida State series • Batted .438 (7-for-16) in three games at Louisville • Was 8-for-13 (.615) with three runs and four RBIs in three games against Pittsburgh • Batted .410 (34-for-83) with a home run, nine doubles, 15 runs and 16 RBIs in the first 21 games.
As A Redshirt Sophomore (2021)
Competed as a sophomore after he received a waiver from the NCAA with the previous season’s cancellation due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic • Started 47 of the 48 games played • Started 44 games in left field and three at designated hitter • Batted .324 with six home runs and 32 RBIs • Finished the season with a slugging percentage od .497 and on-base percentage of .424 • Led the Diamond Heels in batting average, slugging percentage and triples, while ranking second in on-base percentage, hits (58) and base on balls (31) • Tied for the team lead in two-out RBIs (14) • Ranked among the top 15 in the ACC in triples (5th), batting average (13th) and on-base percentage (15th) as wells as walks (15th) • Posted the longest hitting streak on the team during the season, 12 games • Collected 16 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games • Reached base safely in the final 23 games of the season • Batted .377 (23-for-61), in May and June collecting at hit in 14 of the final 16 games • Hit leadoff in 34 games, batting .403 from that position • Hit his first home run as a Tar Heel against Liberty (3/9) • During his 12-game hitting streak (2/20 – 3/13), he hit .356 (16-for-45) with nine RBIs, seven walks, one double and one home run • Was 4-of-7 at the plate in three games against CWS participant Virginia • Hit .400 (6-for-15) in three games against Boston College as well as versus Miami (4-for-10) and Louisville (4-10) • Pounded out six hits in three games against Notre Dame with five RBIs, three runs and a home run • Went 4-for-5 in the second game of the series against the Irish, blasting a three-run homer • Hit a double and triple while receiving two walks with four runs scored at home against UNCW (5/18) • Went 4-for-10 with three runs and three walks at the NCAA Lubbock Regional • Posted a fielding percentage of 1.000.
As A Sophomore (2020)
Established himself as one of the best hitters in the Atlantic Coast Conference • Started in all 19 games in left field • Scored 15 runs • Led the ACC with 29 hits • Ranked second in the ACC for toughest to strikeout in the NCAA metric • Tied for first on the roster with 18 RBI • Hit four doubles and one triple • Went on an 11-game hitting streak to end the season • Registered a .408 batting average, the highest on the team and eighth among ACC batters • Led the 2020 squad with eight multi-hit games • Recorded four hits on two occasions, vs. UNCG (3/3) and versus VMI (3/11) • Posted a .955 fielding percentage • Registered 39 putouts.
