A two-year letterwinner at Carolina who helped lead the Tar Heels to the 2013 College World Series, Cody Stubbs is in his first season as an undergraduate assistant.
Stubbs came to UNC from Walters State Community College and had an immediate impact on the Carolina program. In two seasons as a Tar Heel, Stubbs started 133 games and hit .316, including a .366 mark during his All-America 2013 season. As a senior that year, Stubbs finished with 101 hits, 64 runs, 26 doubles, eight homers and 76 RBIs. He earned first-team All-ACC honors before being drafted in the eighth round by Kansas City.
Stubbs played parts of three seasons in the Royals’ organization, including 127 games with high-A Wilmington before opting to return to UNC.
