Four-year standout at pitcher and third base for coach Bill Seiple at Naperville Central High School Led team to state title as senior Earned all-state honors as senior from the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune and Prep Baseball Report Two-time all-conference choice and 2006 conference player of the year Also played football for two seasons Member of the National Honor Society Played summer ball with the White Sox Academy and went 5-0 with a 2.10 ERA.
