Saw action in 41 games, started 14, primarily as a designated hitter • Picked up his first hit as a Tar Heel with a double against ECU on February 25 before driving in his first RBI two games later on March 2 against Liberty in his first multi-hit game • Had a season high 4-game hitting streak from April 17-22 collecting five hits, scoring three runs and recording 4 RBI • His first and only home run of the season came on April 21 against Georgia Tech as he blasted a game-tying grand slam to right field in the 8th innings to lead a Tar Heel comeback in extra innings • Saw action in 5 postseason games, with his best outing against North Carolina A&T going 1 for 1 with two runs scored and two RBI.
