Second round pick (No. 56 overall) by the Chicago Cubs in the 2025 MLB Draft.
AS A JUNIOR (2025)
• Selected as an All-ACC Second Team member.
• Earned a spot on the Chapell Hill Regional All-Tournament Team, scoring fours runs and stealing four bases to help the Heels advance.
• Started all 61 games in the leadoff spot and in center field, hitting .291 with a team-high .451 OBP on 68 hits. Tied for the team lead in multi-hit games with 22.
• Lead the team in runs scored (74, 3rd ACC) and free passes (71) thanks to an astonishing 27 HBPs, the second most by a Tar Heel this century (28: Ryan Earey, 2000).
• With 45 stolen bases (2nd ACC, 4th NCAA), he finished tied with Russ Adams for the 3rd most SBs in a season all-time by a Tar Heel and the most this century.
• His final stolen base percentage, .918, was the second best in a single season (min. 25 att.).
• He started the year a perfect 17-17. It is the most attempts without being caught in a row since Adams had the same to close out the 2001 season.

• The team’s leadoff hitter as a sophomore, he hit .332 with 31 RBIs and 54 runs scored. Also knocked nine homers and had a .481 on-base percentage.
• Led the conference in his sophomore season with 47 walks and 23 stolen bases.
• Tied the program record with six hits, hitting for the cycle, driving in a run and scoring three runs in a 15-12 victory at Eastern Kentucky in his freshman season.
