Junior Season (2017)
Drafted No. 22 overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2017 MLB Draft • Brooks Wallace Award winner as the nation's top shortstop • Consensus All-America selection who earned first-team honors from ABCA/Rawlings, Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball • Also tabbed a second-team pick by D1Baseball and Perfect Game and a third-teamer by the NCBWA • Started all 63 games at shortstop and hit .336 with team highs of 10 homers and 19 doubles • Scored 60 runs and drove in 49 • Also had a team-high five triples, tied for 10th-most in school history • Stole 18 bases in 21 attempts • First-team All-ACC and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region selection • Drove in four runs in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional • Had 10 hits, five RBIs and six runs scored in four games at the ACC Championship to earn all-tournament honors • Had 26 multi-hit games, including an incredible run of seven straight from April 2 to April 14 • Also drove in multiple runs on 14 occasions, including four times in the postseason • Shared the team's S.H. Sophomore Season (2016)
Elite defensive shortstop had a breakout season at the plate as a sophomore • Started 53 games at shortstop and hit .337 with 14 doubles, two triples and four homers • Also drove in a team-best 53 runs and stole eight bases • Posted a .337/.402/.481 slash line • Had a big power surge late in the year, hitting all four of his home runs in the final 13 games, including a walk-off homer against Louisville on May 7 • Posted a scorching .466/.528/.724 slash line over the final 15 games on the season and drove in a team-high 22 runs during that span • Finished with 22 multi-hit games, including a career-high four hits against UNCW on April 26 and NC State on May 19 • Drove in multiple runs 15 times, including a career-best four at Duke on March 20 and at NCSU on May 20 • Made just 11 errors in 212 defensive chances and was part of 30 double plays • Hit .270 with four homers in the Cape Cod League for Brewster.
Freshman Season (2015)
Standout defensive infielder who started all 58 games as a true freshman • Started the season at third base before moving to shortstop for the final 43 games • Hit .246 with four doubles and 18 RBIs • Also scored 21 runs and stole 11 bases in 14 attempts • Had eight multi-hit games, including three-hit outings against Davidson (3/17) and Duke (3/7) • Drove in two runs on eight occasions • Led the ACC in sacrifice bunts with 15 • Hit his first career home run against Davidson (3/17) • Hit safely in 21 of 29 ACC contests.
