Appeared in 19 games and made nine starts in the outfield Hit solo home runs against both Princeton (March 19) and Georgia Tech (April 6) Scored two runs and doubled in a run in the March 29 win at Florida State Went 5-for-30 on the season (.167) with five runs scored and five runs batted in.
As a Sophomore (2002)
Played in 46 total games Appeared in eight games as a pitcher Batted .284 with four home runs and 26 RBI Did not commit an error all season Had four doubles in seven at-bats at Auburn (March 9-10) Had a season-best 10-game hitting streak from March 16-29 in which he went 14-for-42 (.333) with three home runs and 12 RBI Pitched two scoreless innings against Princeton on March 19 Had five hits in three-game sweep of Florida State (March 22-24) Went 4-for-9 with two RBI and three runs scored in the Clemson series (April 12-14) Pitched a perfect inning of relief and struck out a batter in a victory at Charlotte on April 24 Went 2-for-5 with a home run in a loss to Wake Forest in the ACC Tournament on May 23. Summer 2002: Batted .281 with six home runs and 26 RBIs for the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League.
