Freshman (2014)
Started 54 games as second base as a freshman • Hit .298 for the year with 10 doubles, 29 RBIs and a homer • Slugged .358 and had a .358 on-base percentage • Stole six bases out of ten attempts • Was the toughest player to strike out in the ACC, going down on strikes just 15 times in 247 plate appearances • Made only eight errors for the season in 199 chances • Hit safely in all three NCAA Gainesville Regional games • Went 4 for 5 with his first career home run, a go-ahead two-run shot in the seventh, against Virginia in the ACC tournament (5/23) • Had 18 multi-hit games on the year, including a five-hit performance against Georgia Tech (3/22) • Became the first Tar Heel with a five-hit game since Colin Moran in 2012 • Missed three weeks after suffering a broken hand when he was hit by a pitch against Virginia Tech (4/25) • Returned to register two hits against Gardner-Webb (5/13) and had hits in nine of the final 11 games of the year.

Ranked the No. 8 player in the state of North Carolina by Perfect Game and earned all-state honors in 2012 and 2013 in addition to being named the 2012 Pac 6 Player of the Year • Ranked No. 369 in the country according to Perfect Game and has been an all-region selection by Rawlings the last two years • Atlantic Region All-America team • Honor roll member • Coached by former Tar Heel Devy Bell at Jordan High School.
