2011-12: Elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's most prestigious academic honorary society, in December 2011...placed eighth in the 500-yard freestyle at the ACC Championships in a time of 4:50.49...placed 10th in the 1650-yard freestyle at the conference meet with a time of 16:37.17...at the 2012 U.S. Open she was 12th in the 800-meter freestyle in a time of 8:51.05...had an excellent 2011 Nike Cup...placed second in the 1650 freestyle in a career best 16:22.58, was third in the 500 freestyle at 4:50.52 and took 12th in the 200 freestyle in 1:52.39...swam on an 800 free relay which took third place at Nike Cup...2011-12 ACC Honor Roll recipient...2011-12 All-ACC Academic Women's Swimming Team selection...named to spring semester 2012 Dean's List...2012 College Swimming Coaches Association honorable mention Scholar All-America.
2010-11: Was named the winner of the Jamerson Memorial Award as the team's Most Improved Swimmer...moved into the UNC all-time Top 10 in two events as a sophomore...clocked a career best time of 4:47.75 in winning the 500-yard freestyle in the dual meet against Duke...won two events at the 2011 College Cup Invitational, winning the 200-yard freestyle and the 1650-yard freestyle...at the College Cup Invitational, she set Duke pool records in the 1000 free with a career best 9:53.46 and in the 1650 free with another career best at 16:24.61...took nearly 30 seconds off her previous career best time in the 1650...named to Dean's List in both semesters of 2010-11 school year...merited ACC Academic Honor Roll accolades...a College Swimming Coaches Association of America Women's Scholar All-America honorable mention choice.
2009-10: Had a splendid freshman year in the classroom...named to the 2009-10 ACC Academic Honor Roll...qualified for the Dean's List in both semesters of the school year...won the 1000-yard freestyle in the dual meet versus NC State...at the 2010 Triangle College Cup she won the 1650 freestyle in 16:54.59 and was second in the 500 free in 4:55.53.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel swimmer is being part of team that genuinely cares for and supports each other.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm is that he understands both my strengths and weaknesses and can use those to help me improve.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is improving my paces in practice, so they will be better in a meet.
4. My best friend on another college swimming team is Rebecca Jones at Auburn.
5. My greatest strength as a swimmer is my endurance.
Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
1. Away from the pool and academic pursuits I like to spend time reading, scrapbooking, and watching movies.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Moneyball.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be gymnastics.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is a world class orchestra.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is scrapbooking.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a big meet, I'd like to eat at a buffet spread that included authentic Asian food.
2. My favorite beverage is Earl Grey tea.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is anything made by my mom.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Ye Old Waffle Shoppe (a family favorite).
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is ice cream.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I'd like to go to Victorian England.
2. My most prized personal possession is my 50th Anniversary, leather-bound copy of The Lord of the Rings.
3. If I could go to dinner with a famous person it would be J.K. Rowling.
