Born Beau Sockwell Maye on June 11, 2001, in Charlotte, N.C. • Son of Mark and Aimée Maye • His father, Mark, played quarterback for the Tar Heels from 1984-87 • Has three brothers who played collegiate athletics – Luke (UNC basketball), Cole (pitcher at the University of Florida) and Drake (a red-shirt freshman quarterback on the UNC football team) • Luke and Cole won NCAA championships in their respective sports in 2017 • Majoring in exercise and sport science (sports administration).
