Appeared in 16 matches, earning the start six times • Made Carolina debut in the season opener against Loyola Maryland • Earned first start as a Tar Heel in the victory against UNCW • Logged 647 minutes of game action • Played the full 90 against Pittsburgh, Elon and Syracuse • Had a shot against VCU and in the ACC Tournament semifinal victory against Syracuse • Helped Carolina to the fifth-best scoring defense in the nation, and first in the Atlantic Coast Conference • Member of the Tar Heel defensive back line that posted eight shutouts throughout the year • Named to the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Players to Watch • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll

Vemund Hole Vik is the son of Knut Vik and Bente Hole Vik • Has one older sibling, Gaute • Birthday is January 21 • Earned his bachelor's degree in business administration (majored in international business and marketing) from Elon in May 2023 • Working towards a master's in applied professional studies (MAPS) at UNC • Chose UNC because of its academics and athletics, as well as the chance to play for an ACC and national championship.
