Anson on Alexis: “Strickland is a little water bug. She’s wonderfully quick and fast with a good skill set that attacks behind the defense very well. She will also be competing for playing time up front for us and competing to make the travel roster. We’re very excited about her future.”
Sophomore Year (2020): Didn’t see any game action.
Freshman Year (2019): Came off the bench in the midfield she played in all 27 games, totaling 824 minutes • had four goals and three assists for 11 points • played 23 minutes against Indiana and 19 minutes against Duke on opening weekend • scored the first goal of her career against the Blue Devils, heading home the game-winner just 13 seconds before halftime • also played well in Husky Invitational • played 34 minutes in come-from-behind win over Washington • then played 23 minutes versus Portland before leaving game after a hard foul • she scored the second goal of her career on a header off a corner kick at 37:48 in 4-0 win over Portland • logged a season high 52 minutes in win over LSU and 32 minutes versus UNLV • recorded her first assist of the season on an Alessia Russo goal in the 87th minute of 4-0 win against Wake Forest • scored her third goal of campaign in 3-0 win at Louisville • her goal in 67th minute versus Cardinals gave Carolina separation in eventual 3-0 win • assisted on third goal of game in win at Pittsburgh • had her third assist of the season against Michigan in NCAA Tournament third round • came off the bench to play 29 minutes against USC.
