General: A three-year letterman who will be a contributor in the distance freestyle and IM events...swam for coach Kathy McKee, a Chapel Hill native, at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club prior to his arrival at Carolina.

2006-07: Competed in the mid-distance and distance freestyle events at the ACC Championships...finished 21st in the 200-yard freestyle and 17th in the 500-yard freestyle...also took 15th place in the 1650-yard free.

2005-06: Set career bests in four events at the ACC Championships, bettering his previous times with a 4:27.45 in the 500-yard freestyle, a 9:26.63 in the 1000-yard freestyle, a 15:31.37 in the 1650-yard freestyle and a time of 3:57.50 in the 200-yard individual medley... ranked second on the UNC depth chart in the 500- and 1650-yard freestyles...placed ninth in the 1650, 11th in the 500 and 12th in the 400 IM at the ACC meet.

2004-05: Got his first action at the ACC Championships as an exhibition swimmer...swam the 500-yard freestyle in a then career best 4:32.86...also swam a then career best 15:48.01 in the 1650-yard freestyle, the fastest time from an exhibition swimmer in the meet...also had his career best in the 400-yard individual medley...swam impressively at the U.S. Senior Nationals in the summer of 2004...helped his 800-meter freestyle relay team win the national championship by swimming the third leg with a 1:55.55 split.

Prep: Graduated from South Iredell High School on May 24, 2004...2A state champion in the 200- and 500-yard freestyles ...1A/2A state record holder in the 200 and 500 freestyles...2A state meet MVP...Iredell County men's swimmer of the year...conference MVP...team captain his junior and senior years...National Vocational Technical Honor Society member...scholar athlete...North Carolina Scholar.
