General: Returns for her second successive season leading the Tar Heels as a team captain...serves as a tri-captain of this year's team with fellow seniors Virginia Hanson and Kathleen Quinn...competed in the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials and for the United States Team at the 2003 World University Games in Korea...one of the top butterfly recruits in the nation in 2001... also a strong performer in the middle distance freestyle events...had an illness that marred her freshman season but was back in top form as a sophomore and junior...ranks eighth all-time in the 200-yard butterfly in Carolina history with a time of 2:00.13...finished ninth at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 200-meter butterfly...member of the 1999 National Junior Team...competed for the United States at the 2000 Short Course World Championships...has been swimming since age seven...swam for Rockville Montgomery Swim Club under Scott Vekeman.

2003-04: Was a big factor at the ACC Championships, taking second to Tar Heel teammate and 2004 graduate Kelly Weeks in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:00.37...that earned her first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors...placed 12th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.21...also the leader of Carolina Outreach Program which works with community service projects in Chapel Hill.
2002-03: Placed 10th in the 200-yard butterfly at the ACC Championships with a time of 2:01.08...was also 18th in the 50-yard freestyle at 24.01 and 17th in the 100-yard butterfly at 56.18...swam the third leg on UNC's 400 freestyle relay which placed third...named to 2002-03 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2001-02: Dean's List honoree in fall semester 2001...named to 2002 ACC Academic Honor Roll...swam in the ACC championships where she was 16th in the 100 fly, 26th in the 200 fly and 29th in the 200 IM.
Prep: Graduated on June 6, 2001 from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart...won team MVP honors for all four years...dubbed All-Metro by the Washington Post for three years...Washington Post swimmer of the year her senior year...1998 Junior National champion in the 100 free...named All-Independent League for four years...three-year Scholastic All-America selection...WMPSDL Swimmer of the Year...two-time All-Gazette Swimmer of the Year...an honor roll student throughout high school...did volunteer work with S.O.M.E.
