General:
Transfer from Alabama who was a big boost to the UNC sprint freestyle corps in 2002-03 when he earned his first Carolina letter...swam in 200 World Cup in Paris and 2002 World Cup in New York...member of French Junior National Team...a French junior national champion...finished fourth at American Junior Nationals in 1999 at Orlando...swam for Canet 66 club in France and Pine Crest Swim Club in the United States.
2002-03:
Excelled at the 2003 ACC Championships...named to the 2003 All-ACC Team...had a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:39.01...was 14th in the 100-yard freestyle at 45.44 and 20th in the 50-yard freestyle at 20.85...swam the second leg on UNC’s 800 free relay team which placed second and the third leg on the 400 free relay squad which placed third.
At University of Alabama:
As a sophomore he finished 21st at SEC Championship in the 200 free and 25th in the 50 free and 100 free...was part of the Tide’s seventh place 200 free relay and anchored Tide’s 400 free relay to fifth place...was team’s third fastest 50 freestyler with career best 20.83 at SEC meet...swam career best 45.81 at UGA Invitational in December 2001 in 100 free...third fastest in 100 free on the team...anchored the fastest 200 and 400 free relays for UA...joined team in spring semester of freshman years and competed at SEC’s in 50, 100 and 200.
