General:
A talented breaststroker...three-year letterman…showed tremendous improvement his freshman year and then went on to set his personal best in the 200 breast as a sophomore…bolsters the Carolina breaststroke corps…swam for coach Dustin McDaniels at Bull City Aquatics…holds the Bull City Aquatics team records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke...top flight student.
2002-03:
Competed in the 2003 ACC Championships as an exhibition swimmer, competing in the 200 IM, 100 breast and 200 breast...named to 2002-03 ACC Academic Honor Roll...tapped for the UNC Dean’s List in both semesters of the 2002-03 school year.
2001-02:
Chosen for fall semester 2001 Dean’s List...also made it in the spring...2002 ACC Academic Honor Roll choice...swam in the ACC Championships and an exhibition entry.
Summer 2001:
At the USS Southern Sectional he placed 14th in the 200 breast and 16th in the 100 breast.
2000-2001:
At the 2000 Nike Cup, he finished seventh in the 200 breast (2:04.45 prelim), and ninth in the 100 breast (57.28), both well under his lifetime bests…a tremendous performer in the classroom as well…a Dean’s List student both semesters and ACC Academic Honor Roll member.
Prep:
Graduated May 26, 2000 from Jordan High School…swam there for four years, specializing in the breaststroke…Jordan High School record holder in the 50 and 100 breaststroke…also played tennis for four years, competing as the #3 singles player and in #1 doubles…All-Conference and All-Regional selection in 1999 and 2000…All-State in 2000…named team’s most improved swimmer in 1996-97, won MVP honors in 1998-99 and 1999-2000…received senior achievement award in 2000…Speedo Academic All-America and U.S. Swimming Scholastic All-America in 2000…National Honor Society member in 1998, 1999…Superintendent’s Academic Achievement Award in 1998.

Given name is Sinisa Haberle...nicknamed “Croatian Sensation” ...is the son of Zonko Haberle and Ines-Batinic-Haberle...stepson of Ivan Spasojevic…born November 18, 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia…lived in Croatia until he was 10…athletes he most admires is Goran Ivanisevic and Sean Quinn…his biggest sports thrill was watching fellow Croatian Goran Ivanisevic capture the Wimbledon men’s singles tennis title in 2001 and watching Carolina beat Florida State in football in 2001…plans to major in psychology major...wants a career in radiology.
