General: An outstanding swimmer and three-time returning letter winner...has had an outstanding 2000 so far as an ACC champion, NCAA finalist, NCAA All-America and U.S. Olympic Trials semifinalist...begins the season as the top swimmer for Carolina in the 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly...earned NCAA bid as a freshman and junior...a strong force on the Tar Heel relays...should challenge for ACC titles and NCAA All-America honors again this year...garnered first-team All-America honors as a junior…earned honorable mention All-America honors as a freshman.
1999-2000: At the 1999 Nike Cup she won the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 back…also a member of UNC’s Nike Cup champion 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay…At the 2000 ACC Championships, she won the 200 back and set a school record (1:58.22), she finished second in the 100 back to teammate Christy Watkins while eclipsing Sue Walsh’s 17-year old school record (54.07), and finished third in the 100 fly with the third fastest Tar Heel clocking ever (54.55)…was a member of UNC’s ACC champion, school record-breaking and Koury Natatorium record-setting 200 free relay as well as the ACC champion, school and pool record breaking 400 medley relay…All-ACC selection…At the 2000 NCAA Championships, she garnered first-team All-America status with her seventh-place finish in the 100 back, finished 10th in the 100 fly, and 27th in the 200 back… member of UNC’s 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relays which placed 13th and the 200 free relay that finished 15th at the NCAA Championships.
1998-99: Had the best time in the ACC last year in the 100-yard backstroke at 54.93...had the best time on last year's team in the 100-yard butterfly (55.13) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.69)...won the 1998 Nike Cup championship in the 100-yard backstroke...at the 1999 ACC Championships, she finished eighth in the 100-yard backstroke and 13th in the 100-yard butterfly.
1997-98: Had an incredible freshman year...scored 86 points at the ACC Championships...was named the ACC Rookie of the Year...was a first-team All-ACC selection...won the conference title in the 100-yard backstroke (54.95), which was an ACC Meet record...also finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (55.10) and fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.94)...swam on the third place 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:32.77) and the third place 400-yard freestyle relay unit (3:24.29)...was also a member of the ACC championship relay teams in the 400-yard medley relay (3:42.85) and the 200-yard medley relay (1:41.92)...scored 12 points at the NCAA Championships...earned honorable mention All-America honors in four events...she finished 11th in the 100-yard backstroke (55.14)...was a member of the 13th place 200-yard medley relay team (1:43.00), the 13th place 400-yard medley relay team (3:42.44) and the 13th place 400-yard freestyle relay unit (3:21.99)...finished 18th as a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:35.45)...established school, conference and ACC meet records as part of the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard medley relay teams...also established an ACC Meet record in the 100-yard backstroke.
