2009-10 (Junior): Had an excellent end to his competitive season...took first place in the 100 fly at the Triangle College Cup in 48.75 seconds...won the 100 breast versus NC State in the dual meet and was on the victorious 200 free relay team against the Wolfpack.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Earned a spot on UNC's scoring team at the ACC Championships for the second straight season...swam the butterfly leg on Carolina's fourth-place 200-yard medley relay team that broke the school record in the event...also had personal best times in the 100 fly, 100 free and 50 free at 48.47, 46.11, and 20.82, respectively.
2007-08 (Freshman): Earned a spot on UNC's scoring team at the 2008 ACC Championships...set career best standards in the 100 fly with a time of 48.70, in the 100 back with a time of 51.41, in the 50 free with a time of 20.96 and in the 100 free at 46.74, all at the ACC Championships...was a consolation finalist in the 100 fly at ACCs...his time in the 100 fly moved him into ninth place in history.
Prep: Graduated from the Pine Crest School in 2007...participated on the swimming team there in the sprint events in the fly, free and back...team captain...high school All-America selection.
