2019-20: Qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the 4x400 before the meet was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Earned USTFCCCA All-America recognition following the cancelation of the winter championships • Ran the second leg of the 4x400 relay that won the ACC Indoor Championship title with a meet record of 3:06.66 • Earned first team All-ACC honors for the 4x400 performance • The meet record time of 3:06.66 also ranks third all-time in program history • Additionally finished 12th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.76 • Competed in two meets during the regular season – the Power 5 Invitational and the Tiger Paw Invitational • Outdoor season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2018-19: Earned second-team All-America honors in the men’s 4x400 after the relay finished 10th with a season-best time (3:05.11) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships • Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round where he finished 10th (3:05.44) with the men’s 4x400 • Anchored the men’s 4x400 that defended their 2018 ACC title at the ACC Outdoor Championships (3:11.50) despite heavy rain • Also competed in three other ACC Outdoor events, placing seventh (47.47) in the 400, fifth in the 4x100 (40.35) and 11th in the 200 with a new personal best (21.21) • Clocked a collegiate-best 400 time of 47.03 at Florida’ Tom Jones Memorial • Won the 200 (21.88), 4x100 (41.61) and then 4x400 (3:11.69) at the Battle of the Blues • In indoors, earned second-team All-ACC honors in the men’s 4x400 after the relay clocked 3:12.05 for third place at the ACC Indoor Championships • Also finished 11th in the 400 (48.06) at ACC Indoors • Helped the men’s 4x400 claim three event titles during the regular season — Doc Hale VT Elite Meet, Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational and Dick Taylor Carolina Cup.
2017-18: Finished the 200 in 21.61 for 22nd at the ACC Outdoor Championships • Ran a leg of the DMR that placed 12th at the ACC Indoor Championship meet with a time of 10:09.31 • Ran a personal-best 200 time at the UCF Black and Gold Challenge, clocking in at 21.52 • Placed eighth at the Virginia Grand Prix in the 400 after finishing the lap in a career-record time of 48.15 • Kicked off the 4x400 relay that ran the fourth-fastest time in UNC history, clocking in at 3:07.57 at the Music City Challenge • Helped the 4x100 relay capture the Battle of the Blues title in 40.63 • Won his first collegiate 200 race with a time of 22.46.
Prep: Attended Paxon School for Advanced Studies • 3-time All-Conference • Helped his team to a runner-up finish in the state championship meet as a sophomore • Took fifth in the 400 at the state championships as a senior • 2017 Golden South 200 and 4x400 champion • Graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Personal: Ryan Christian Saint-Germain is the son of Rosemond Saint-Germain and Madelyne Saint-Germain • Born June 20 • His two younger sisters also compete in track & field.
