Beginning her first season in 2018-19, Bryana Nguyen joins the North Carolina women's golf staff after a successful career as a student-athlete for the Tar Heels. She started in Carolina’s lineup in every event in her career except for one as a junior. Nguyen finished her career with a 75.44 stroke average and a final season stroke average of 74.79. She had two top-five and three top-10 finishes in her career. Nguyen majored in broadcast journalism in the UNC School of Media & Journalism with a minor in Spanish for the professions. She served as the co-president of the Student Athlete Advisory Council and participated in the Carolina Leadership Academy’s Rising Stars, Creed Mentor and Veteran Leaders programs
