Will serve as a second-year student assistant for marketing for the gymnastics team during the 2017-2018 season.
As a Freshman
Did not compete due to a season-ending injury prior to joining the team in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Prep:
Trained under the guidance of Chris Waller at Waller’s Gym Jam Academy in Santa Clarita, Calif., and attended West Ranch High School • Was the 2014 USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Level 10 California state all-around and vaulting champion • In 2014, she was the vault and all-around state champion • Participated on the Junior National Team in 2010 and 2013 • In 2013, she was the Monarchs Classic uneven bars, floor exercise, and all-around champion • The NIT vault champion in 2011 • At the 2011 state meet, she placed first on the vault, second on the uneven bars and third in the all-around • Recognized by Meet Scores Online for a tremendous 2011 season • At the 2009 Western Championships, she placed second on vault, third on both the uneven bars and floor exercise and eighth in the all-around competition.

Born Kelsey Jordan Chan in Lake Havasu, Ariz., in 1996 • Daughter of Kevin and Kathleen Chan • Has a younger brother and sister • Enjoys taking pictures.
