Marie McCool

One of the best players in women's lacrosse history, Marie McCool returned to the UNC program as a volunteer assistant in 2021.
McCool, a midfielder, was a two-time finalist for the Tewaaraton Award and is a mainstay on the U.S. National Team.
At Carolina from 2015-18, McCool won an NCAA title (in 2016), was a three-time first-team All-America, the 2018 National Midfielder of the Year and a two-time ACC Midfielder of the Year choice. She finished her career with 183 goals and 63 assists, and she remains UNC’s all-time leader in draw controls with 165.
McCool graduated from UNC in 2018 with a degree in management and society.
