Former two-time All-America defender Sarah Brown joined the Tar Heel staff as a volunteer assistant in the fall of 2018 after a decorated playing career at the University of Colorado.
Her duties include scouting, team travel, player instruction, social media and other administrative tasks assigned by head coach Jenny Levy. Brown also interns for GoHeels Productions, the video and graphic design arm of the UNC Department of Athletics.
At Colorado as a senior in 2018, Brown was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference pick. She also earned first-team All-America honors from the IWLCA in helping lead the Buffaloes to the Pac-12 regular season championship. She also earned second-team All-America honors as a junior in 2017.
A 2018 Tewaaraton Award nominee, Brown is currently part of the U.S. National Team tryout pool and plays for the New York Fight in the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL).
Brown graduated from Colorado in 2018 with a degree in advertising. She was a two-time MPSF All-Academic, a Pac-12 Second-Team All-Academic and an IWLCA All-Academic selection.
