Rowed in the second novice eight in 2002-03, stroking the boat in the spring ... Raced in the novice eight at the 2002 Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta, where her boat took second ... Raced in the novice four at 2003 NCAA Centrals, where her boat finished seventh
Before UNC: At Orange High School, played four years of soccer, serving as team captain and earning MVP, Most Improved and Team Spirit honors ... Also a member of the cross country and volleyball teams and a horseback rider

Snow on rowing: It is amazingly hard, but supportive. If it wasn't for the strong bonds, many of us would not make it through a season. It is very much a character-building activity - you find out who you are!
