Emily Caflisch joined the UNC rowing staff in August of 2014 as an assistant coach. She assists head coach Sarah Haney with all aspects of the varsity program.
Caflisch most recently served on the staff at her alma mater, University of Wisconsin. She was a volunteer assistant coach for the women's lightweight team and also coached at summer camps. Prior to that position, she was a part-time assistant rigger for the program. She rowed at Wisconsin with the open-weight program and graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in history.
"Emily has already achieved many successes in her few years of coaching and I am looking forward to her experiences and insights as it relates to our program," Haney said. "She is hard-working and disciplined I know she will be a great asset to Carolina rowing."
