2023-24 (Sophomore): Participated in 11 races throughout five regattas in her second season as a Tar Heel • Member of the 2V8 boat in each race • Competed with the 2V8 boat at the ACC Championship.
2023-24 (Freshman): Competed in 14 races over six events during her first year at Carolina • Made her collegiate debut with the 2V8 and 2V4 at the Rivanna Romp • Helped the 2V8 to a race win on Sunday at the Cardinal Invitational • Was part of the 2V8 crew that finished fifth in the Grand Final at the Sunshine State Invitational • Helped the 2V8 defeat Georgetown at the GW Invitational • Raced with the 2V8 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational • Took first in the 2V8 Petite Final at the ACC Championships • Named to the All-ACC Academic Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Before UNC: Rowed for three years at Edgewater • Also rowed a year for Orlando Area Rowing Society • Placed first at Florida Southern Erg Sprints two years in a row and at Power-up Erg Sprints once • Fifth at CRASH-B Erg Sprints in her sophomore and junior years • As a freshman, her eight placed second at Head of the Hooch • Rowed in the winning 4+ at the Florida State Championships, Stotesbury Cup, and Scholastic Nationals as a junior • Captained the Orlando Area Rowing Society women's team as a senior • Graduated as an AP Scholar with Distinction • President of the Speech and Debate Team.
Personal: Daughter of Scott and Cayenne Dansby • Has one younger sister • Favorite pastimes are running, spending time outside, and playing cards and board games • Favorite sports other than rowing are running and soccer • Has run seven half-marathons with a personal-best time of 1:42 • Is working towards a double major in medical anthropology and nutrition • After graduation, plans to go on to medical school and also earn a Ph.D. in nutrition • Dream job is to be a pediatric anesthesiologist or an orthopedic surgeon.
