General -- Currently a member of the United States' Under 18 National Team... a very talented goalkeeper... attended Carondelet High School, the same school which produced former Tar Heel and United States National Team midfielder Tiffany Roberts... one of Carolina's tallest players ever at six feet tall... was an NSCAA/adidas All-America in 2000 and the NSCAA/adidas State Player of the Year for 2000.
Club Soccer -- Earned multiple honors as a soccer player which led to her acceptance at UNC in 2001... named to US National Soccer pool under-14 in 1997, under-15 in 1998 and under-16 in 2000... earned membership on Region IV soccer pool 1997-2000... NORCAL state team player 1997-2000... helped lead team to Nomad Tournament under-19 championship in 2001... played for the DVSC United 19 which won the Premier State Cup Championship in 2000.
Prep -- Graduated from Carondelet High School in Concord, Calif. on June 2, 2001... was the starting goalkeeper on a Carondelet High School team which finished in the top ranks of the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America high school rankings... as a high school goalie she allowed only 2 goals in 1998, 1 goal in 1999, 2 goals in 2000 and 8 goals in 2001... played four years of varsity soccer in high school as a center forward and goalkeeper... led her high school team to NCS championships in 2001 and 1999... is one of only four players in school history to play on two winning NCS title teams... led CHS to BVAL league championships 1998-2001... played on teams which were ranked #1 high school team in the nation by USA Today in 1999 and 2000 and by the NSCAA in 1999... also played two years of volleyball as an outside hitter and setter for junior varsity, high school and City Beach Volleyball Club... was soccer team’s captain in 2000-01... a BVAL All-League First Team choice in 2001... named to NSCAA/adidas All-American High School team in 1999... All Far West High School selection in 1999... was an honor roll student and won the Principal's Scholarship Award as a sophomore.
Personal -- Given name is Alysha Alayne Yount-Winget... has two sisters... was born in San Jose, Calif.... is the daughter of Cheri A. Winget... undecided on her major and her career plans... hobbies include soccer and music... athletes she most admires are Tony Meola, Koby Jones and Gabrielle Reese... biggest sports thrill was playing in the NCS championship game in 2001 when she saved three out of five penalty kicks to allow her team to win the championship.
