Personal: A native of Manalapan, N.J., Anna Priborkina joins the Carolina women’s soccer program after a decorated career at Freehold Township High School and with PDA ECNL. She graduated high school at Biotechnology High School where she won the SSOA John Cobb and Rusty Rizzitello Excellence award. She was a member of the National Honor Society as well as the recipient of her high school’s Spanish award. Fluent in Russian, Priborkina founded Cleats-4-Needs, a non-profit cleat donation center that sent used cleats to players in Africa. Outside of the classroom, she was a ECNL National Champion (2018-19), ECNL National Quarterfinalist (2017-18), and ECNL Northeast Champion (2016-17) with PDA ECNL. Playing her high school soccer at Freehold Township under Dave Patterson, she turned in 19 goals and 39 assists in three years. She missed her sophomore season due to injury. She is the Shore Conference record-holder for assists in a single season (20), which is a record for the boy’s and girl’s division. She is also Freehold Township’s all-time leader in career assists and was a Monmouth County all-star. Priborkina was named the team’s MVP and a Northeast First Team selection in 2018 and 2019.
