General -— Currently a member of the United States Under-21 National Team... was one of the nation's most improved players as a sophomore in 1999 and was even more magnificent last year even though her scoring numbers were down from the previous year... played forward as a freshman for Carolina and had 40 points... moved into the midfield last season and had 12 assists to be among the team leaders... has started 47 games over the past two seasons... has 22 career goals, 32 career assists and 76 career points... has eight game-winning goals, including six her sophomore year... she has four career assists in ACC Tournament play ranking her 11th in the category in the history of the league... had been one of the top high school forwards in the nation four seasons ago and then had an outstanding freshman season for the Tar Heels in 1998 while earning her first letter... moved into the starting lineup in 1999 and merited second-team All-America honors... made a significant contribution to the Tar Heels' success, each of the last three seasons... member of under-18 National team when she came to Carolina... ranked #1 in a high school class of 400 with a 4.0 GPA... goes into the season tied for 23rd in career assists for the Tar Heels with 32 in her first three seasons.

1998 Season -— Missed the first two games of the season with an injury but played in the last 24 games of the season, starting against Florida State... was one of the first players off the bench for UNC last year... honorable mention freshman All-America selection by Soccer Buzz... also a Soccer Buzz All-Freshman Southeast Region selection... had six goals and six assists for 18 points... scored the game-winning goal in UNC's win over Duke in the 1998 ACC Tournament quarterfinals... had two goals and one assist in that game... also scored goals against Notre Dame, Duke (regular-season game), Virginia and UNC-Charlotte... had assists against Florida (regular season), St. Mary's and three against Dartmouth in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.
